LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP / CONTINUED RESPONSIBILITY

Your website should keep moving with you.

Launch is the start of the operating life of a website. Our ongoing partnership keeps technical responsibility, planned improvements, and day-to-day changes with a firm that knows the system.

THE WORK BEHIND THE WEBSITE

More than a list of updates.

A website changes as services, customers, and business systems change. The retainer creates an ongoing working relationship: someone understands the build, knows its dependencies, and can help you decide what to improve next.

01

Technical oversight

Hosting and infrastructure management, backups, updates, security attention, and performance checks are coordinated as part of the agreed service.

02

Development capacity

Plan new sections, refine forms, implement content, and improve existing features through a defined development scope and shared priorities.

03

Search foundations

Maintain metadata, internal links, crawlable content, and the technical structure behind your search presence as the site evolves.

04

Direct support

Work with people who know your website. Support follows established office hours and channels, with a separate escalation path for genuine emergencies.

A CLOSER LOOK

Keep the work connected.

An ongoing relationship gives new ideas a place in the plan, alongside the routine work that keeps a website healthy.

WHO THIS IS FOR

A continuing relationship, with clear boundaries.

We agree on responsibilities, priorities, and the work included in your retainer. Larger features and third-party costs are discussed before they become commitments. Regular communication keeps the next steps visible.

Clear expectations, from the start.

The current Cumulus model sets the monthly retainer at 15% of the development investment. Your proposal defines the services and development capacity included.

How we define and deliver the work →

BEFORE WE BEGIN

A few useful answers.

Is unlimited development included?

No. Development capacity and responsibilities are defined in the agreement. Significant additions can be scoped separately so priorities and cost stay clear.

Can you manage a website someone else built?

We first review its architecture, plugins, hosting, and access. That helps us identify any work needed before taking on ongoing responsibility.

Do you provide around-the-clock general support?

General support uses established office hours and channels. Genuine emergencies follow a separate escalation process defined in the engagement.

THE NEXT STEP

Tell us what you need the web to do.

Bring the business problem, the current website, or the idea you are working through. We will help define a practical next step.

Four new projects per month.

We limit new work so each engagement gets direct attention. Timing and fit are discussed before we commit.
